Welcome to the official launch of Back to Backlog, otherwise known as B2B!

I’m Geoff, and I have a problem. Like a lot of people, I’ve bought way more games than I’ve actually played over the years. Looking at my game shelves, there are more than a few that haven’t even been taken out of the plastic yet! That’s not even counting my Steam and other digital PC libraries, which balloon the backlog considerably. Definitely a first-world problem, I know, but we all need something to take our attention away from *gestures wildly at, well, everything*.

With gaming getting more expensive, modern games becoming more “safe” out of budget necessity, and so many older games being lost and forgotten, I decided that it was a great time to refocus my gaming habits on the video game library I already have sitting right here in my home, rather than constantly chasing the latest and greatest. And I thought it would be great to have a place to share this journey with likeminded patient gamers who are also working their way through their backlogs.

Of course, sometimes I’ll want to talk about newer games that interest me, or weigh in on industry news and happenings. But there are plenty of other sites to find multiple-daily news posts, reviews of all the latest and greatest titles, and in-depth analyses of the state of the gaming industry. B2B isn’t even going to attempt to be that.

Instead, B2B is simply an outlet for me (and hopefully others, in time) to put my thoughts out there about the games I’m playing, and share them with my corner of the internet. Eventually, it would be amazing to build our own little community here. Some things I’d like to bring about in the future are a Discord server, Steam community, and maybe even some streaming.

But for now, I hope you’ll join me on this new journey. If you’d like to keep up with the latest goings-on around here, please bookmark the site or follow B2B on BlueSky!

Thanks for taking a look around, and keep checking back for more updates from here on out. See you around the site!
