About Back to Backlog

Hi there! I’m Geoff, and I started Back to Backlog (B2B) in March 2025 with one simple goal in mind: to encourage myself and others to take another look at the video games that are probably sitting there on our shelves, neglected and forgotten. At its most basic, B2B is simply a place for me to share my journey through my backlog with those who want to follow along, and maybe meet some likeminded patient gamers along the way.

There are a lot of sites that exclusively cover the latest and greatest games, and, likewise, there are sites solely dedicated to retro gaming. But there’s a lot in-between, and thousands of games that have been released over the years whose time in the spotlight has been long gone – and even some that never had any time in the spotlight. You probably have some of those games sitting right on your shelves – I know I do! Hopefully through B2B we can all discover some of those games, or even experience some of those critically acclaimed games for the first time.

Of course, sometimes I’ll want to talk about newer games that interest me, or weigh in on industry news and happenings. But there are plenty of other sites to find multiple-daily news posts, reviews of all the latest and greatest titles, and in-depth analyses of the state of the gaming industry. B2B isn’t even going to attempt to be that.

Instead, B2B is simply an outlet for me (and hopefully others, in time) to put my thoughts out there about the games I’m playing, and share them with my corner of the internet. Eventually, it would be amazing to build our own little community here. Some things I’d like to bring about in the future are a Discord server, Steam community, and maybe even some streaming.

But for now, I hope you’ll join me on this new journey. If you like what you see and want to keep up with the latest goings-on around here, please bookmark the site or follow B2B on BlueSky!
